Josh Glover

Josh Glover was the Son of the late Charlie Glover Sr. and Minnie Ingram Glover, Josh was born April 15th 1944.  He was educated at Galilee Comer School and Rebecca Comer School . Josh acknowledged and accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined the Galilee Baptist Church.

He later found his spiritual home at Friendship Baptist Church in Schenectady, NY where he faithfully served on the usher board for over 50 years. It was there he met and married his beloved wife, the late Dorothy Brooks. While they had no biological children, Josh was instrumental in helping to raise his sister Carrie’s children. He also enjoyed a distinguished career, retiring from GE after more than 31 years of service.

Josh was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; sisters, Carrie and Minnie Lee; and brothers, James, Charlie Jr., Willie, and Zach Glover.

He leaves to cherish his memory his special adopted sister, Nell Sims of Schenectady NY; many devoted nephews and nieces, including Preston and Liz Glover of Eufaula Al, Cleo Williams of Albany NY, Jeffrey Glover of Schenectady NY, Nadine Glover of New York, Dorothy Glover of Schenectady NY, Belinda Glover of Schenectady NY; a great niece, DeNaezia Henderson of Schenectady along with a host of other great nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family extends sincere thank you to our friends for your support during the illness & demise of our uncle. Our prayer is the God will continue to bless each of you abundantly.
