Mrs. Josephine Randolph was born June 30, 1937, to the late Joseph and Mary Lou Jamerson in Memphis, TN.
She was blessed to live 88 wonderful years! Of those 88 years she was married to her very strong and handsome husband, Theodore Randolph for 70 years, and to this union they bore 8 beautiful children.
She also had one beautiful stepdaughter, Geraldine Lofties, prior to their union.
She overcame many challenges because she prayed and trusted in the Lord to get her and family through each of them.
She was a wonderful mother and wife. She kept her home cleaned, kids clean and fed and had her husband’s hot food on the table when he came home from work. She also worked outside the home, as a housekeeper and maid. When there was no transportation available, she walked to work. She loved volunteering to work on the polls during election time. She worked at Popeye’s making those delicious biscuits and always had a pot of food on the stove available for hungry strangers that her husband brought home who became family friends to them.
Everyone remembers her kind smile and open heart!
She was an ordained mother of Zion Temple Apostolic Church for 24 years in Gary, Indiana. While there, she sang in the senior choir and worked in the kitchen. Zion Temple also loved her biscuits!
