Joseph Scripilliti, Sr.

Joseph Michael Scripilliti Sr., 74, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on June 27, 2025. Born on April 3, 1951, in San Francisco, California, Joseph was the son of late Rosario and Anne Scripilliti.

Joseph built a successful career as a finance specialist in the automotive industry, a field where his dedication and expertise shined. He was a born salesman.

Joseph enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid movie-goer, often enjoying his favorite films countless times. He loved Disney going to the parks, and so many times we would come home to a Disney movie playing. He found excitement in going to the casino, it was in his blood. He cherished car rides, soaking in the scenery. He loved going to Prescott and visiting the candy store.He was a devoted fan of the Arizona Cardinals, and Diamondbacks. He loved going to games and cheering them on.

Family was important to Joseph. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Scripilliti, and his devoted children, Brittney Scripilliti and Joseph Scripilliti Jr., his wife Heather Scripilliti and their kids Kayla, Audrey, and Matthew. Joseph is also survived by his sister, Jeanne Soltes, and her husband Rick Soltes. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Scripilliti, and his sister Joanne Tankersly and brother-in-law Robert Tankersly.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held in Joseph’s honor on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Sun West Funeral Home, 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, AZ 85335.
