Joseph LaMalfa Sr.,

Joseph J. LaMalfa Sr., 90, of Northfield, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Atlantic City, NJ Joseph was the loving son of the late Benedetto and Josephine (Macri) LaMalfa and the devoted husband of Margaret (Bartholomew) LaMalfa with whom he spent 53 years of wedded bliss.

Joseph was a graduate of Atlantic City High School and following his graduation he bravely served his country in the U.S. Army. Joseph was a butcher by trade and worked all his life in the field. Joseph worked as a butcher for the Terminal Market, Trump Plaza and most recently until his passing the Tropicana Casino.

Joseph loved to hunt and run his hunting beagles. He was a member of Local 54 and was a fan of the old-style country music. Joseph embodied the positive traits of kindness, strength and an incredible work ethic. Joseph’s family will always remember him as being helpful, caring and loving.

Joseph will be missed and fondly remembered by his wife; Margaret LaMalfa, son; Joseph (Mary) J. LaMalfa Jr., daughter; Rosary LaMalfa, step son; Richard Bartholomew, step daughter; Melissa Corrado, step grandchildren; Joseph and Samuel and nieces Marie Goodman and Shirley Durkin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joseph’s Life Celebration Catholic Service on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at 11:00am at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home, 228 Infield Ave., Northfield, NJ 08225. A viewing will be held at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home from 9:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to a charity of one’s choice in Joseph’s memory.
