Joseph “Al” MacEachern
It is with tremendous heartbreak we announce the unexpected passing of our cherished Joseph “Big Al” MacEachern on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the age of 68 years.
Predeceased by his parents: Allister and Catherine; Nanny Harper who he adored; brother Bruce and his parents -in- law: William and Jessie Dunphy.
Left with endless loving memories his devoted wife of 32 years Darlene; his adored children: Drake, Brett (Vicki), Adam Dunphy, Rebecca (Jordan) Webb and Andrew (Cheri) Webb; his siblings: Debbie (Bill – deceased), Cathy (Chris), Michael (Sherry) and Stevie; siblings -in-law: Jackie Harris, Amy (David) Murphy, Bill (Sharon) Dunphy and Derick (Sue) Dunphy; nieces, nephews, extended family in Nova Scotia and a large circle of friends.
Al will always be remembered for his love of sports. Growing up his was a talented softball player, lacrosse, and hockey. He loved all sports, almost as much as his Tim Horton’s coffee. Al was outgoing, happy and loved to laugh. He treated everyone he met with respect and warmth.
Al was the best dad, he adored his children, giving them advice, guidance, support and endless love. And was an amazing role model.
Al was always his true self. He will be missed and we will hold our memories of him forever in our hearts.
