Johnny Sargent Jr.

JOHNNY LEE SARGENT JR., 23, of Bluff City, TN, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Johnny Lee Sargent Sr. of Hurley, VA, and Tonya Michelle (Stiltner) Sargent of Grundy, VA. He was a resident of Buchanan County many years and worked in construction. He was a loving father, son, brother, fiancé and enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars and riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather: Ricky Stiltner and several aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Johnny Lee Sargent Sr. of Hurley, VA, and Tonya Michelle (Stiltner) Sargent of Grundy, VA; Paternal Grandparents: Betty and Danny Wayne Sargent; Maternal Grandmother: Sharon Lovell and husband Gregory Lovell; Fiancée: Teonna McNutt; Children: Adalyn McNutt and Ryker Sargent; Siblings: Tiffany Marie Lester, Teona Sargent, Travis Lee Sargent, Jaylyn Sargent, Mariah Sargent and Trevor Dotson; and several aunts and an uncle.

Visitation will be held at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for JOHNNY LEE SARGENT JR. will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Conn officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery on Colley Fork.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
