John Neibert, Jr.

John Franklin Neibert Jr., age 76, of Chula Vista, California, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born in Indiana to John Neibert Sr. and Elsie May Neibert, John’s life was marked by a deep sense of service and love for his family.

As a “military brat,” John moved frequently across the United States, developing a strong sense of patriotism that led him to serve his country in the Marine Corps. After his service, he found his home in Chula Vista, California, where he met and married his soulmate, Cynthia Elliott. Together, they built a life of love and commitment, spending 56 years as husband and wife.

John is survived by his beloved wife Cynthia, their sons, Anthony Neibert (Trudi), Todd Neibert, Chase Neibert (Megan), and his grandchildren, Madison, and Anson. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Chevelle and Carson. John is also survived by his brother Jerry Neibert (Candy), sister Dawn Kay (Dave Kirk), Brother-in laws Bruce Elliott (Amanda), Clyde Wylam (Val), Sister-in-law Melissa Elliott. As well as several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends who were like family to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Elsie May Neibert. Brother-in-law Michael J Elliott, Sister-in-law Marsha Bell.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on January 18, 2025. At the Sweetwater Community Church, 5305 Sweetwater Road Bonita, CA 91902
