John J. Ensworth “Enzy”
65, lifelong Canaryville resident passed away August 7, 2025. Beloved son of Mary Ensworth (Herbert) and the late Millard Ensworth; devoted husband of the late Sharon Jean (Harrington); loving father of Michael John (Vanessa) Ensworth, Kathleen Marie Ensworth (Tom Cornwell), and Mark Jason Harrington; cherished grandpa of Oliver, Christopher, Tommie, Hunter, Zoe, and Marlon; dearest brother of the late Kathleen Ensworth, the late Millard “Butch” Ensworth, Stevie (Ann) Ensworth, Mary (late Jeff “Mongo”) Penrod; proud godfather of Jennifer Penrod Phipps; also survived by numerous dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
John retired from Central Steel after 43 years of dedicated employment. He was a member of the Canaryville Club and die-hard John Wayne fan.
The family will receive friends on August 14, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, located at 4635 S Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Funeral prayer service at 7:00 pm. Cremation following in accordance with John’s wishes.
