John Elorriaga

Elorriaga – John Patrick, February 10, 1934 – July 30, 2025, of Brooklyn, NY. Beloved Son of Marcos Elorriaga, Jr. and Catherine Wade. Beloved First Cousin of Theresa Powers McSherry, Edward Powers, James Elorriaga, Joseph Elorriaga, Anthony Elorriaga, John Elorriaga, Catherine Jockers, Lucille Buttacoli, Michael Elorriaga, Catherine Lorey and their extended families. Uncle John, as his closest second cousins, Edward Powers(Diane), Diane Byrnes(James), Bruce Powers(Marilyn), affectionately called him, came from humble beginnings. He lost both parents by the age of 15. He served in the US Army. He was a successful Margin Clerk. He loved his Brooklyn/LA Dodgers. He adored all his close friends. One of his favorite things to do was taking trips to a ballgame or just hanging out at O’Keefe’s. A highlight of his day was playing cards at the St. Charles Jubilee Senior Center with wonderful people. Perhaps they went to church or they got together for a nice meal. He loved having family reunions with his cousins. In the later years, after he got sick, he was blessed to have his beautiful Marie take care of him, along with Viviane, Gladys, Tammy, & Ivose. He is now resting peacefully with God and all of our dear family members and friends who have gone before us. John loved to give to the Veterans.
