John Edes

John Dennis Edes, known lovingly as Dennis, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 62. He was a beloved husband, father, and Papa, who built his life around hard work, family, and love. Dennis resided in Granbury, Texas, where he created a home filled with laughter, support, and unforgettable memories.

Dennis was a hard-working mechanic by trade, but his greatest accomplishments were raising five daughters and being the foundation of a large, close-knit family. He had a passion for spending time with his loved ones, especially on trips to Port Aransas with his wife and friends. Sundays were often spent watching NASCAR, surrounded by the simple joys of family and the excitement of the race. His grandchildren were his pride and watching them grow brought him immense happiness.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Joetta Mcdonald, Bobby Mcdonald, and Virgil Edes. He is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa Edes and his five daughters, Kristen Williams and husband Steven Williams, Tiffany Kirk, Brandi Smith and husband Mark Smith, Jessica Yant and husband Colin Yant, Ashley Weatherford and husband Joshua Weatherford, along with 14 cherished grandchildren. Dennis was blessed with a big family, and he loved each one unconditionally.

Dennis was the strongest man we knew, and extraordinary husband and father. His wisdom shaped our paths, and his love was our safe harbor. Though we miss your hand, your will forever hold our hearts.

A visitation will be held, 3-5pm, Sunday, December 14, 2025, service at 10am, Monday, December 15, 2025, both at the Wiley Center, 420 US Hwy 377 East, Granbury, Texas 76048, burial following at Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury, Texas.
