John Beecham, Jr.

John H. Beecham Jr., a cherished family man and skilled craftsman, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in Derby, CT, at the age of 67. Born on October 3, 1957, in Bridgeport, CT, John’s life was one of dedication, love, and service, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

John was a proud graduate of Stratford High School and Eli Whitney, where he honed the skills that would serve him throughout his life. He spent many years as an auto body tech at Breezy Point in Stratford, where his attention to detail and craftsmanship were greatly valued. John’s culinary passions led him to also delight patrons as a grill cook at the Windmill Restaurant in Stratford and 2 Guys in Wallingford. His work was not just a job but a reflection of his commitment to excellence and his ability to bring joy to others through his talents.

He found great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially at their sporting events and holiday gatherings. John’s beloved dog, Mocha, was always by his side, a testament to his loving and nurturing spirit.

John is survived by his loving family, including his son John and wife Heather, and their children Alexis, Camryn, Christian, Devin and Danni; his daughter Stacey and Husband Jeffrey, and their children Grace and Jocelyn; his youngest son, Brett; and his brothers, Jim and Bill Beecham. He is predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Bakunas) Beecham, with whom he shared a beautiful life and who was waiting to welcome him into Heaven’s embrace.
