Joan Faraone

Joan M. Faraone, 89, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Newark, she was a resident of Cranford for 62 years.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Thursday, 6/19, from 4-7pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. West, Cranford, N.J., 07016. A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, 9:30am, at St. Michaels Church in Cranford.

Joan was a very talented cook, and enjoyed baking in her spare time. She loved to spend time down the shore, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her 3 brothers, Buddy, Robert, and Thomas; and her 6 sisters, Catherine, Marion, Ruth, Doris, Arlene, and Lorraine.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 65 years, John; her beloved sons, John and his wife Lisa, and James; her loving grandchildren, Nicole and her husband Mike, Joseph and his wife Annemarie, Erica and her husband Robert, and Ryan; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Emma, John Michael, Nicholas, and Olivia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
