Jimmy Alan Bishop

Jimmy Alan Bishop, born on January 1, 1967, in Walton County, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Henderson County, North Carolina. At the age of 58, Jimmy left this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family and community.

For many years, Jimmy worked as a landscaper in Henderson County, where his hands shaped the natural beauty that surrounded him. His deep connection to the land was evident not only in his work but also in his passion for fishing. An avid carp fisherman, Jimmy found peace and joy along the water’s edge, where he spent countless hours perfecting his craft.

A man of simple pleasures, Jimmy cherished his loyal dog, Aggie, and his beloved cat, Harry, who were constant companions and sources of comfort throughout his life. His Ford truck was more than just a vehicle; it was a testament to his adventurous spirit and love of the open road.

Jimmy formerly attended West Hendersonville Baptist Church, where he drew strength and guidance from his community. His unwavering faith and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Monk Lancaster. Jimmy is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Lynn Bishop (Zachree Hawver), and his cherished grandchild, Camrynn Lillace Hawver. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Tamera Scruggs and Elizabeth Lancaster, along with his nieces Jacquline Ingle, Amanda Hart, and Kerri Coughenhour. Numerous extended nieces and nephews, as well as his great-niece Tiffany Worley, and childhood friend, Robert Hopkins, will forever hold his memory dear.

As we remember Jimmy, let us celebrate a life filled with love, humility, and an indomitable spirit. Though he has left this earthly realm, his legacy of warmth and compassion will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Shuler Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.

The family wishes for donations to be made to The Jimmy Alan Bishop Memorial Fund.
