Jim Reynolds: In Our Care – October 2, 2024

Jim, 82, peacefully passed away on October 2, 2024 after suffering a stroke and other health related issues he battled.
Jim, one of six children, was born to Everett and Ruth Reynolds in Dekalb county, Mo on December 16, 1941. He attended the University of Missouri where he earned a degree in agriculture. Upon graduating, he held various jobs in st. joseph, king city, and Maryville mo. He found a passion for driving over–the–road and worked for vita ferm delivering feed and Vitamins to ranches and retired from the hillyard company in st. joseph mo where he traveled weekly to the east coast delivering cleaning supplies.
He married the love of his life, Jo Ann fowler, on march 27, 1964 at the Christian church in Maysville. They settled in king city with their two children, Kaysie and Aaron.
Jim loved to visit with friends, family, and would easily strike up a conversation with strangers. He enjoyed reminiscing with his high school and over-the-road driver friends, playing golf with his forever buddies, playing cards, and “tinkering” in his shed.
He is survived by his children, Kaysie Tunks, King City, MO; Aaron (Angie) Reynolds, St. Joseph, MO; siblings JoAnn Russell, Houston, TX; Susie Reynolds, Greenwood Village, CO; Janice Meek, Linton, IN; Jane (Dave) Fore, Richmond, TX; Karla Reynolds, St. Augustine, FL. He has four grandchildren; Brody and Zoe Tunks, and Kayton and Kenna Reynolds. Jim was preceded in death by a son, Brian, his parents and two brothers, John Reynolds and Joe Reynolds.
A celebration of life to honor his reunion with his wife Jo will be Saturday, Oct. 26 at 3:00 pm at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with Rev. Jonathan Garlock officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Maysville Alumni association and the Animal Shelter in Albany MO.
