Jeremiah F. Bergeron, a man who fused life’s pieces together with the same skill and passion as he did metals, has completed his earthly fabrication project.
Born on May 22, 1979, in the vibrant town of Fort Pierce, Florida, Jeremiah brought light and laughter into the world. On August 10, 2025, at the age of 46, he signed off unexpectedly in the same town where his story began. Known for his quick wit and a toolbox of jokes that could lighten the heaviest of hearts, Jeremiah was the life of every gathering. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was as comforting as the warm Florida sun. He could find the humor in any situation, and it was this gift that he generously shared with all who knew him.
Jeremiah attended Fort Pierce Central High where he graduated. After high school, he dove headfirst into the world of welding, where he not only crafted strong joints but also strong friendships. His work was his art, and he approached every project with the precision of a surgeon and the soul of a poet. His colleagues in the welding community will remember him for his knack for leaving a shine on even the dullest of metals.
Jeremiah’s faith as a Catholic was as sturdy as the structures he welded together. When Jeremiah wasn’t sparking joy at work, he was sparking old car engines back to life. He had a deep love for mechanics and could often be found under the hood of a car, with a grin on his face and grease on his hands. His German Short Haired Pointer dogs were his loyal assistants, although they were better at fetching wrenches than they were at turning them.
Family was the steel beam of Jeremiah’s life. He was the beloved son of Karen and Marcel Bergeron, the mischievous brother to Lacey Bergeron, and the fun-loving uncle to Jesse Diehl. His family was his heart, and he was theirs. They shared not just a last name, but a bond of love and laughter that not even death can part.
As we say goodbye to Jeremiah, we celebrate a man who was a master at welding together the fragmented parts of life into something whole and beautiful. While his time with us has been cut short, the memories he forged will remain as durable as the strongest weld. Jeremiah F. Bergeron, you were a bright flame that warmed us all, and though you’ve flickered out, the glow you’ve left behind will continue to light our way. Rest in peace, dear friend, and may your jokes continue to echo in the halls of heaven.
