Jeraldine Holmes

Jeraldine Detreanna Holmes, age 12, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jeraldine was born on October 29, 2013, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Danisha Rosetta L. Holmes and Bobby Smith, Jr. She attended Thorpe Gordon Elementary, South Elementary, and was currently a sixth grader in K–12 online classes.

Jeraldine was full of life and energy. She loved having her nails done, listening to K-Pop, watching anime, and playing Roblox and building games. Her joyful spirit, quick humor, and creativity brought smiles to everyone around her.

She is survived by her parents, Danisha Holmes and Bobby Smith, Jr.; her brother, Terrion A. Smith; her grandparents, Raymond and Sarah Holmes; grandmother, Betty Smith; aunt, Tiesha Dennis (Sederick); great aunt, Victoria Frazier; cousin, Nataliee Coleman; godmother, Renee Pointer; and a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jeraldine Washington Holmes; her grandfather, Bobby Smith, Sr.; Montreal Washington; and uncle, Shamar Holmes.

Friends will be received from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with services following at 2:00 P.M.
