Jerald T. Olson Jr. “Jerry”

54, lifelong resident of Chicago’s Southside, passed away October 16, 2025. Beloved son of the late Jerald T. Olson Sr., and Linda Olson (Green); loving father of Jerald T. Olson III; dearest brother of Mary Jean Olson and Kerri Olson; fond uncle of Kevin Olson, Eric Olson, Cherish Olson, Christopher Olson, Chloe Olson; also survived by his dear friends, the “3 J’s,” John G., John G., and John C.

Jerry enjoyed tinkering and fixing different things. He was an avid sports fan, liked technology, and spending time on the water.

Jerry’s family described him as a hard-working person, who was a great role model to family and friends alike.

Visitation on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, located at 4635 S Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Cremation following in accordance with his wishes. Jerry will be laid to rest next to his father at a later date at Holy Name Cemetery in Cedar Lake, IN.
