Jefforey Zahneis

Jefforey Allen Zahneis, 64, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born September 1, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Richard and Mary (Rengering) Zahneis.

Jeff was a member of the Cheviot Eagles and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed working in his yard and was always busy with something. He loved spending time with his family. He worked as a Technician at StandardAero.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH; loving wife, Shellie Zahneis of Lawrenceburg, IN; 3 sons, Jeffery (Sunny) Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH, Dietrick Shorten of Lawrenceburg, IN, Matthew (Michelle) Shorten of Batesville, IN; 3 daughters, Tara (Tom) Nieman of Cincinnati, OH, Ashley (Von) Greber of Lawrenceburg, IN, Danielle (Josh) Bollinger of Lawrenceburg, IN; 5 brothers, Richard Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH, Jim (Gina) Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH, Mike (Jenny) Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH, Steve (Carol) Zahneis of Aurora, IN, Dave (Karen) Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH; 2 sisters, Karen Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH, Sharon Zahneis of Cincinnati, OH; his 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Zahneis.

There will be a gathering for family and friends at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, 455 Ridge Ave, Greendale, Indiana 47025, Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4-7 pm. A Celebration of Jeff’s life will follow at the Cheviot Eagles from 730-11 pm, 3807 Glenmore Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. (Public parking lot off Harrison Ave.)
