Jean Griffin

Jean T. Griffin (nee Schapen) passed away surrounded by family on September 21, 2025 at the age of 84. Jean is survived by her loving children: John Griffin, Sherri (Jon) Lunny, Jill (Daniel) Scarnavack, Michael Griffin, David Griffin, and Kelli Griffin. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Alexandria and Taylor Griffin, Griffin, Kylie, and Luke Lunny, Daniel, Cole, and Cade Scarnavack, Megan, Jack, Tommy, Charlie, and MaryKate Griffin, Ryan and Tyler Griffin, and Michael, Ashley, and Mitchell Growe; and great-grandchildren Jacob and Kaycen. Jean leaves behind sisters Eileen Gordon and Janet Schapen, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 54 years, Jack, parents: Edward and Jennie Schapen, and brother Eddie. She will be missed by all that knew her. All relatives and friends will meet directly for Visitation Thursday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. John Fisher Church, 10235 S. Fairfield Ave., Chicago, IL. Mass at 11:30 A.M.
