Jean Cayo

Reverend Jean Felix Cayo, son of Lecene Cayo and Sylvia Lafalaise, was born on March 2, 1919, in Jacmel, Haiti, and lived an extraordinary 106 and a half years. He pursued medical studies before joining the Haitian Army, where he specialized in Morse code and medical training, caring for those in need. He later became an educator and public school inspector and was instrumental in founding several Church of the Nazarene congregations in Haiti. A man of prayer, service, and devotion to God’s Word. He was preceded in death by His Wife Celierose Cayo, Daughters Cerette Cayo, Josephine Wallace-Coicou and son Nicholas Cayo, Granddaughter Ruth Gracia and sister Lurienne Cayo-Valentin. He is survived by his children: Goldine Claude Yacinthe, Micheline Cuvilly, Gladys Cayo, Irma Hilaire, Leon Cayo, Bellange Cayo. His grand-children: Daniel, Nancy and Ken, Henry, Yvens, Elridge, Sandra, Frances, Merlin, Eccline, Yahira, Frantz Felix, Minerva, Jovanny, Jaime, Negrito, Taty, Maribel, Toto, Natasha, Joshua, Rebecca, Joseph, Ceril, Ritchy, Melissa, James, Chris, Miriam, Jenny, Jeff and Isaac. His great grandchildren: Kaely, Nicolle, Michael, Calvin, Richard Dorvilier, Jamil, Jovan and Jolie, Yvenely, BJ and Jessica, Ashley and Henry, Curtis and Ne’hemiah, Stacey, Keshia, Doudline, Naika, Woodsi, Sebastien, Brian, Jacob, Luke, Jasmine, Amir, Adarri, Bellange, Deborah, Ruth, Bria, Jasiah, Aaliyah, Aaron and Felix. Great great grand children: Jhene and Jayce Cayo, Naisha, Nehemiah, Niylah, Nick, Kehlani, Ethan, Skyley, Jason, Edson, and many many more along with a host of relatives, friends, and spiritual children in Christ.
