Jay Olson

Jay Douglas Olson, 63, of Sterling passed away at his home on July 3, 2025 in Sterling. Services will be announced at a later date.

Jay was born on November 13, 1961 in Haxtun, CO to Aubrey D. and Jane L. (Blake) Olson. Jay attended school in Haxtun and graduated from Haxtun High School in May 1980.

Jay is survived by his son Bobby Bradstreet and spouse Renee of Pueblo, CO, brother Tom Olson and mate Juanita Stowell of Eads, CO, sister Nancy (Olson) Anderson and spouse Jack of Graden City, KS, sister Connie (Olson) Helus of Thornton, CO, brother Richard Olson of New Carlisle, IN, brother Aubrey Duane Olson of Greeley, CO, sister Joyce (Olson) Krueger and spouse Nolan of Amherst, CO, brother Rusty Olson and spouse Michelle of Tallahassee, FL, and sister Wilma (Olson) Soukup and spouse Joe of Bell, FL; sister-in-law Nancie Stevens of Sterling, CO; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Jay was loved by many and was a good friend.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Jane Olson of Haxtun, brother Lloyd Olson and sister-in-law Linda of Atwood, brother Gerald Olson of Summerville, SC, sister Sarah LaVone Race of Bartlett, CO, brother Roger Olson of Haxtun, brother-in-law Daniel Ira Helus of Thornton.
