“Pizza Man”

Best known for 30 years delivering pizza for Domino’s and others both in New England and the Mesa area, Jay enjoyed delivering happiness one large pie at a time. But even more than pizza Jay loved caring for his beloved cats both in his home and the strays he found on the streets. He was a kind and gentle man. For those who knew Jay in recent years, the sound of KBACH classical playing from the small radio he always carried was a sure sign that he was near.

Jay passed away in hospice care at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa after a brief illness. The family want to commend and thank the staff for their outstanding care of Jay in his final days.

He was predeceased by his father (Sam) and his ex-wife (Joy, aka Sharon). He is survived by his mom (Joan of Scottsdale, AZ) and brothers (Dan & Lynn of Albuquerque, NM; Steve & Maritza of Montclair, NJ; and Pete of parts unknown) and his long-time significant other (Tina Blood of Mesa, AZ) and her daughter, Lindsay, who Jay helped raise as his own, as well as several nieces and nephews and his good friends (Jeff & Christie of Winkleman, AZ).
