Jason Lee “Ricky Bobby” “Scotty” Scott, 47, of Dalzell, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Peru City Cemetery with Rev. Solomon Sudhakar, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, LaSalle officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Jason was born April 18, 1978 in Morrison to Garry and Donna (Hauser) Scott. He graduated from Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico High School. He was a truck driver with XPO for 19 years and just recently celebrated two million miles accident free. He married Jessica Miller on December 16, 2011 in Princeton.
Above all, Jason’s pride and joy was his wife, children, and granddaughter. He enjoyed watching NASCAR on the weekends and had a fantasy NASCAR league. Jason was a fan of the Michigan Wolverines and Chicago Bears.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica; three children, Drake Scott of Sterling, Quintin Scott of Wisconsin, and Madison Scott of Dalzell; one granddaughter, Everleigh; his mother and step-father, Donna and John Carroll of Maybank, TX; his father and step-mother, Garry and Wendy Scott of Prophetstown; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don and Nellie Hauser; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Myrtle Scott; and several aunts and uncles.
