- May 22, 2025

Jason Lee Jenkins, of Argonia, Kansas, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the age of 51.
Jason was born the son of Charlie and Dolly (Durden) Jenkins on October 30, 1973, in Wellington, Kansas.
Jason found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Among his favorite pastimes were fishing, grilling, gardening, shed hunting and spotting deer. He was passionate, loyal, and dedicated to his family, especially his 3 children.
Jason was a man of the outdoors, a skilled landscaper who used his hands to mold the earth into something that others could appreciate. He would create intricate designs that mirrored his love for the natural world. His artistic touch was not confined to the soil. He also utilized his creative side when hanging Christmas lights. He looked forward to Christmas light season every year.
As an avid music listener and a poet, Jason found ways to express his love for the world around him, often relating his observations and experiences into verses that spoke volumes in his own unique way.
Whether you were sitting beside Jason grilling or standing beside him on a bank fishing, one thing was for certain, he had a way with words. He would tell stories in a way that would leave you laughing uncontrollably. He was the person that wanted to see everyone with a smile on their face enjoying themselves.
