Janet Totah

Janet Totah, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 5, at the age of 84.

Born in Jaffa, Palestine, in 1941, she was the daughter of Asad and Naemeh Bahu. Through a love of academics, Janet grew into an analytical, highly-capable professional. In 1963, she met the love of her life, Sami.

Janet’s deep Catholic faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother fueled the values by which she lived. She dedicated her life to her family; she created a loving home and was exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren. Janet was a loyal friend to many, known for her generosity, intelligence, and hospitality. She was also a perfectionist with a passion for cooking and a tireless work effort.

Janet is survived by her husband, Sami, her children, Ibrahim, Randa and Marwan and their respective spouses (Elizabeth, Daniel and Lena), her sisters Norma, Regina and Nuha and by her 7 grandchildren (Christopher, Alyssa, Elana, Maia, Leah, Sami and Jacob).

A Rosary service will be held at St George’s Orthodox Church in Daly City on Sunday November 9 at 7pm. The funeral service will be Monday November 10 at 11 am at St George’s, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
