Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at My Michigan Health. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Moon) Malenfant, Janet was born September 21, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Jerome E. “Jerry” Sizick, her loving husband of 63 years, on August 27, 1960. He predeceased her April 21, 2024. Janet was proud to be able to stay home with her children while they were growing up. Janet was a teller at United Financial Credit Union and retired in 2004. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing puzzle books, but most of all, spending time with her family.

Surviving to cherish her memory are four daughters, Julie (Larry) Gries, Saginaw; Jean (Robert) Guldenzoph, Saginaw; Jacqueline (Robert) DeShone, Saginaw; JoEllen (Steven) Bruns, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, John (Allysha) Guldenzoph, Kimberly Guldenzoph, Megan (Chettar) Guldenzoph-Hoff, Danielle (Jarred Grasso) DeShone, Lucas (Summer) DeShone, Adam (Vanessa Schaub) Bruns, Andrew Bruns, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Malenfant, Gladwin; a sister, Ellen (Gary) Zieroff, Auburn; a sister-in-law Patricia (Ramon) Young, Sterling Heights; many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Sizick Jr.; a son-in-law, Marshall Hoffman; two brothers, Charles Malenfant and John Malenfant; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael (Diane) Sizick.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, OSFS will officiate with interment in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
