James Sharkey

James A. Sharkey, 67, of Momenece, IL, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Crown Point, IN. He was born on April 10, 1958, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Arthur P. and Annabelle Senesac Sharkey, Jr. He married Teressa Merrill on January 28, 2000, in Kankakee, IL. She survives.

He is survived by his wife; Teressa Sharkey of Momence, IL. Two daughters and son-in-law; Tabatha Sharkey and John Pizanie of CA, and Amanda Farlow of TN. His son; Justin Sharkey of UT. His two sisters; Linda Spry of TN, and Donna Bajic of Midlothian, IL. His brother and sister-in-law; Ricky and Darlene Sharkey of Momence, IL. His step-brother; Stephen Hager of Bourbonnais, IL. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and son; Nicholas Sharkey.

He worked as a finish carpenter. James was a big Chicago Cubs fan and Bears fan.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
