James Gerri
James J. Gerri, born July 7, 1939, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025 surrounded by those who loved him. He was 86 years old.
James was the beloved son of the late John and Esther Gerri, and the devoted husband of his late wife Arlene, with whom he shared many wonderful years. A proud and loving father, he leaves behind his children; John, Nicole and James, who is married to Marisa. He was a cherished grandfather to Anthony and Mateo, whose lives he touched with warmth, humor, and love.
James is also survived by his brother, Robert Gerri, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and family traditions with.
A lifelong Yankee fan and avid enthusiast of classic television, James found joy in the simple pleasures- cheering on his team, rewatching timeless shows, and spending time with his family. His quick wit, kind heart, and steadfast loyalty made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
James will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him .

Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3:00 -7:00 P.M. in Farenga Bros. Funeral Home, 920 Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10469
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Clares Church, Bronx, NY
