James Founds

James Steven “Steve” Founds, age 76, of Wexford, PA, passed peacefully through Heaven’s gates on July 26, 2025.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Steve spent his career as a software developer for healthcare systems before his recent retirement. A talented drummer, his passion for music spanned decades—from cover bands in his youth to jazz fusion and even an ’80s punk rock group. He also enjoyed collaborating with his family on ventures in real estate and construction.

Never one to slow down, Steve was excited about future plans to develop music and AI apps, and he looked forward to traveling to Thailand with his family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James Leroy and Jean (Nagle) Founds.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra “Sandy” Founds; daughter Emma Louise; son James Damian and daughter-in-law Jasmine; and his adored 6-month-old granddaughter, Isla Marie. He is also survived by his dear sister Andi and her husband Mike Holtzinger of Houston, TX.

Steve was deeply cherished by Sandy’s family, including her mother Marie Siebers and siblings Terry, Mike, Kathy, and Peg. He was preceded in death by Sandy’s father Eugene Siebers, and siblings Joe and Jennie.

Steve will be remembered as a force of nature—loving, generous, kind, and endlessly creative. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love him.
