Brookfield – A memorial service celebrating the life of James Edward Anders III will be held at 6 PM Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Jim passed away early Tuesday morning, September 16, 2025, at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was born on December 21, 1941, in Monongahela, PA, the son of the late James E. II and Blanche (Seal) Anders. He was a 1960 graduate of Monongahela High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After his service Jim moved to the area and worked at General Motors Lordstown Plant. Jim worked for G.M. from 1967 until his retirement in 2002. Jim spent his retirement by taking on the role of Santa Claus during the Christmas Holidays, He brought joy to hundreds of children around the area for many years. Jim was a passionate sports fan rooting for his favorite teams, the Pittsburg Steelers and anyone playing against the Cleveland Browns. Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. He attended their school and sporting events, passionately cheering them along in their endeavors. Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Sherry Lenhart, whom he married February 20, 1971, one son, Shawn Anders and his wife Holly of Howland, and his grandchildren, Madison and Aidan, Jim also leaves a daughter in law, Jennifer Anders and grandchildren James V, and Claire, also of Howland. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Anders IV, and one sister Norma Ford. Friends may gather on Monday, September 22, from 4 to 6 PM at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 6 PM with the Rev. Dr. Anthony Kiaditis presiding.
