Howard Rohrbach

Howard J. Rohrbach, 93, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fork’s Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Howard H. and Evelyn C. (Mills) Rohrbach. He was predeceased by brothers Dale and Bill and sister Dolores.

He was the husband of the late Nancy J. (Kurtz) Rohrbach who sadly died in 1988.

Howard was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Catasauqua, PA. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1987 after 30 years of devoted work. While there, he excelled at a variety of jobs; including managing inventory in the tool crib and working on the construction line.

He was affectionately known by many endearing nicknames such as “Bruno”, “Sonny”, and “Elvis”. Howard had a great dry sense of humor, and he managed to be sharp witted and amusing up until the end. He had the ability to always make people laugh and feel welcomed. Howard loved Shady Maples (or any other buffet), fishing, and shuffleboard.

Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He will be missed extremely by all who knew and cherished him.

Howard was survived by daughter, Deborah Muhr, wife of the late Daniel C. Muhr, Sr., of Slatington, son James Rohrbach and wife Michelle of Whitehall, and daughter Beth Pizzuto and husband Peter from Schnecksville.

Howard was blessed with four loving grandchildren: Alexa Zuber, Daniel Muhr, Jr., Matthew Rohrbach, and Bryan Rohrbach; three beautiful great granddaughters: Rylee Zuber, Peyton Zuber, and Olivia Muhr.

He is also survived by a longtime companion, Alberta Rogish.
