Howard Barrett Jr.

Howard Morton Barrett Jr.,78, a resident of Uxbridge, MA, formerly of Stoughton, MA, passed away at home on October 1, 2025.   Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Howard was the eldest child of the late Howard and Alice F. (Brown) Barrett.

Howard, who often went by “Howie”, was a kindhearted man, who loved making others laugh. He shared epic stories about riding his motorcycle and hitchhiking to Woodstock 69’. Howie was a free spirit, he enjoyed listening to classic rock, antiquing and eating delicious food. His physical presence will be greatly missed by those around him, but he will forever be in our hearts.

He was the brother to Marjorie E. Barrett of Stoughton, Massachusetts, James S. Barrett of Brockton, Massachusetts and Paul E. Barrett of Middleboro, Massachusetts Howard also leaves behind his friends, loyal caretakers and devoted community support team. 

Calling Hours will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 from 10:00am- 11:00 am at the BUMA Funeral Home, 101 N. Main Street, Uxbridge to be followed by a Memorial Service  beginning at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery, Linwood Avenue, Northbridge.
