Highway 50 E. closed due to crash near landfill; Care Flight reported

As of 9 p.m. Wednesday night, Highway 50 E. is reportedly closed due to a vehicle crash.

At this time, more information is not known about the vehicle(s) involved, but it was reported to Carson Now that Care Flight was called.

According to Maps, the only way from Carson City to Mound House/Dayton at present is up Geiger Grade, through Virginia City, and back down to 50.

Motorists should avoid the area, because traffic is completely stopped at this time.
