Herminia Liera

Herminia Donez Liera, age 94, of Hollister California, passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2025, at her home in Hollister California. Born on November 12,1930 in Montague Texas, Herminia spent her early years in Albuquerque New Mexico, before settling in California where she made her home and built her life.

Herminia (Minnie) was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, great-great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with family—whether in person or over the phone—and welcomed everyone with open arms. Kind, gentle, and always smiling, Minnie had a sweet spirit that touched everyone she met.

Her faith was a central part of her life. She loved going to church, singing, and playing the piano, often worshiping through music. Minnie ended every conversation with “God bless you,” a reflection of her deep love for the Lord.

She accepted people as they were, forgave easily, and stayed young at heart. Her warmth, grace, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten. We were truly blessed to have her in our lives, and she will be deeply missed.

Survived by her husband Joseph Liera, her brothers J.R. Donez, Phillip Angel Donez, Francisco Donez, her sisters Lupe Archer and Marylou Delgado, along with her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Manuel Reynoso, her son and daughter-in-law Joe and Sharon Liera, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday September 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Lima-Campagna-Alameda Mission Chapel, 600 S. 2nd Street San Jose, CA 95112. Following the burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave. San Jose CA, 95125
