Maysville, Missouri……Helen Lawrence, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025.  She was born September 9, 1956, in England to her mother, Margaret Reid. 

Helen devoted many years of her life to caring for others through her work as a housekeeper at Presbyterian Manor and Shawnee Gardens. She approached even the simplest tasks with kindness and a gentle spirit.

She found joy in the small, beautiful moments of everyday life ~ crocheting, taking long walks, browsing the farmers market, going for drives, and spending time at the lake. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, who were the heart of her world.  

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Reid; and her life partner, Danny Colson.

Helen is lovingly remembered by her children, Felicia Graham and Christopher Lawrence; brothers, Andrew Reid and Nicholas Reid; sister, Sarah Askew; five grandchildren, William Thayer, Wyatt Thayer, Michael Lawrence, Mackenzie Thayer, and Millicent Graham. She is also remembered with love by her life partner’s family, whom she considered her own, along with many other family members and friends whose lives she touched.
