Harry Young, IV
- June 18, 2025

Harry Benjamin “Ben” Young IV, age 39, of Ohio, passed away tragically on June 14, 2025, as the result of a motorcycle accident. Known to many as a hard worker, a loyal friend, and a spirited soul, Ben lived life full throttle — whether on the job, in the outdoors, or riding his beloved Harley-Davidson.
He was born on August 23, 1985, the son of the late Harry Benjamin Young Jr. and Cynthia Tierney Knox. He was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep love for hands-on work, spending over 20 years as a dedicated “jack of all trades” with United Aggregates. If it had an engine, Ben could fix it — and if it didn’t, he’d probably find a way to modify it just for fun.
Ben had a fierce love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding in poker runs were among his favorite pastimes. He was a “grease monkey” at heart, happiest with a wrench in hand and grease on his jeans. Ben also had a famously ornery sense of humor and especially enjoyed teasing his middle sister Doris, a family tradition that will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving mother, Cynthia Knox, and his stepfather, David Knox; his beloved son, Aiden Ray Goines-Young; his fiancé, Samantha Hedrick, and three cherished bonus daughters, Jayden Spencer, Nora Baker, and Mavis Baker. Ben also leaves behind two sisters, Crystal (Ron Kline) Anderson of Celina and Doris (Matthew) Crim of Beverly, Ohio; and his adored nieces and nephews: Jacob Kline, Tina Kline, Cynthia “CJ” (Nate Wigal) Crim, and Agustus “Gus” Crim.
Ben’s larger-than-life presence, mechanical genius, and mischievous grin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ride free, Ben — the road ahead is wide open.
Friends may call on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Ben’s name may be made to the family to help with the continued care for Aiden.
