Harold Martin Zimmerman
1935-2024
Weatherby, Missouri….Harold Martin Zimmerman, age 89, was born October 14, 1935 in Chapel, Nebraska, the son of Louis Henry and Nellie (Conover) Zimmerman and passed away December 23, 2024
Harold was a 1953 graduate of Maysville High School and all of his children and grandchildren followed in his footsteps and graduated from there as well. On November 26, 1959 Harold and Lila Elaine Waggoner were united in marriage in Illinois. To this union three children were born. Harold was a lifelong Farmer. He raised cattle and hogs in the early years and later worked the ground and was a row crop farmer. Harold was also on the FHA Board for several years and was in the United States Army Reserves for six years. He was a cheerful person that was always happy and ready to visit. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin; an infant son; and sister, Helen Duffer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Lila; daughter, Sherri (Bruce) Bird; five grandchildren, Tyler Zimmerman, Taylor (Billy) Wendt, Skyler Zimmerman, Kayla Bird, and Kendra Bird; three great-grandchildren, Kysen, Woodsen, and Teagen Wendt; and nephew Ronnie (Pam) Sifers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with burial following at Shambaugh Cope Cemetery, Weatherby, Missouri.
