Harold “Lee” Johnson

Harold Leroy Johnson “Lee”, 85-years-old, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home on May 23, 2025.

Lee was born on July 21, 1939, in Lyndon, IL. He was the son of Floyd Walter Johnson and Virginia Elizabeth (Miller) Johnson and married Donna L. Johnson on 9/24/1960 in Rock Falls, IL.

He began his career as a custom cabinet apprentice shortly after getting married to Donna. He went on to open his own custom cabinet and countertop business in Janesville, WI.

His next adventure was purchasing, renovating, and owning Lee’s Willowdale. It was there that he also built his dream log cabin.

In 1996 after he suffered a stroke during heart surgery, he soon retired to his vegetable garden and woodshop. He was known as “The Vegetable Guy” on Kennedy Road.

He is survived by his three daughters: Sheila (Lowell) Juno, Penny (Kevin) Schultz, and Tammy (David) Soddy. In addition, his grandchildren: Allison (Corey) Caldwell, Mackenzie Schultz, Katherine Ward, Samantha Soddy, and Jaxon Soddy. Great-grandchildren: James, Everett, and Francesca.

A private service will be held for immediate family only. He will be interred at Milton Junction Cemetery.
