Harold  Ferguson

Harold Dewaine Ferguson was born on April 21, 1956, in Abilene, Texas, to Harold Gene and Jonell Ferguson. From a young age, Harold was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and lively sense of humor. Growing up, he developed a love for family, the outdoors, and the open road. He carried these passions throughout his life, always making time for his loved ones and sharing laughter with everyone he met. Harold passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Pat Ferguson; children Jr. Ferguson and wife Cindy, Amber Ballenger and husband Keith, Brian Hutchins, and Aaron Hutchins; brothers Gary Ferguson and wife Doylene, and Darrell Ferguson and wife Marty; and many other relatives.

Harold was a proud grandfather to Lance Ferguson and fiancée Bailey, Brayden Jones, Lacee Ferguson, Blake Hutchins and wife Bailey, Blaine Hutchins and wife McKenzie, Whitney Ballenger, Faith Ballenger, Nash Hutchins, and Creed Hutchins. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Layla, Indy, Wailynn, Finn, Quil, and Cove.

A truck driver by trade, Harold began his career working for Bandera in the late 1970s as a truck pusher. He later worked in the oil field for his son, Jr. Harold loved spending time with family and friends, taking long motorcycle rides, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He always had jokes up his sleeve, ready to make anyone laugh.

Harold’s life was defined by his deep love for family, his strong work ethic, and his kind heart. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his sense of humor, and the warmth and joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
