Guadalupe Cruz

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Guadalupe Del Carmen Cruz. Lupita, as she preferred to be known, was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, on March 17, 1954. At the tender age of 8, Lupita immigrated to the United States. She grew up in San Francisco’s Noe Valley district and graduated from Balboa High School in 1973. After attending college at San Francisco State, she was hired by Bank of America, where she had a successful career. In 1974, Lupita married the love of her life, Enrique Cruz. They were together for over 53 years and married for 51 years. Together, they built a life full of love, joy, and laughter in their home in Daly City, where they lived for 47 years.

Lupita was a devoted and caring mother to her three children, Jennifer, Nicholas, and Elizabeth. Her unconditional love for them never wavered. She guided her children often with words of encouragement and support. Lupita was also a loving and proud grandmother. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Mama Lupita. She always had a remarkable way of relating to all of them. She had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed playing games with them, making memories that would last a lifetime. Lupita also enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, and shopping, especially on Black Friday.

Lupita is survived by her devoted husband, Enrique Cruz, her children, Jennifer (Charles),

Nicholas (Lisa), Elizabeth (Charlie), her grandchildren, Aiden, Ethan, Jasmine, Ramon, Xavier, Alyssa, Joey, and Bubi.
