80, longtime resident of Chicago’s south side, Pilsen neighborhood, passed away August 3, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Faustino Franco; loving mother of Esther Franco, Maria Guadalupe (Porfirio) Rodriguez, Graciela (Jose) Arellano, Rolando (Rocio) Franco, Albino (Griselda) Franco, Juan Franco, Victor (Hilda) Franco, and the late Faustino (Hilaria) Franco; cherished grandmother of Jose, Stephany, Mariela, Osvaldo, Yadira, Adela, Nelida, Isamar, Iliana, Albino Jr., Jessica, Jasmin, Evelyn, Juan Jr., Aurora, Apolonio, Samantha, Emmanuel, Faustino III, Anthony, Logan, Denise, Natalie, Edwin, Hilda, and Ariana; also survived by numerous dear great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; fond sister of Alicia Fuerte.

Graciela was preceded in death by her parents Apolonio and Guadalupe Ruiz.

Graciela enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Coca-Cola memorabilia. She absolutely adored Mickey Mouse, and all different types of flowers. In her younger years, Graciela took pride in owning her own restaurant and teaching her family how to cook all different kinds of dishes. Her family recalled spending many holidays at the restaurant when they were young, passing on the tradition of the value and importance of family. She was dedicated and hard-working and passed those morals onto her family. She will always be remembered, deeply loved and never forgotten.

Resting at Central Funeral Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago. Visitation Friday, August 8, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, August 9, 2025 8:45 a.m. at the chapel to St. Paul Catholic Church, 2127 W. 22nd Pl., Chicago, IL 60608 for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Interment Mount Carmel, Hillside.
