Glenna Vance

Glenna Jewell Vance, 81, of Huntington, WV formerly of Wayne, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Huntington Health and Rehab., Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. She was born October 3, 1943 at Stiltner, WV, a daughter of the late Garland “Boo Boo” and Lena Marie Ross Ramey. Glenna was a member of Laurel Free Will Baptist Church, Wayne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John M. Vance, a step-son, John M. Vance, Jr., an infant son, Shaun Vance, an infant brother, Bernard Ramey, a sister, Barbara Queen, two brothers, Shelton Ramey and Odell Ramey, a sister-in-law, Nilene Ramey, a niece, Lena Dello, two nephews, James Garland Lucas and James Dale Ramey, a great-nephew, Michael Nicely and a great-niece, Barbara Nicely. Survivors include a daughter, Glenna Marie Maynard and husband Rick of Wayne; a step-daughter, Millie Vance; three grandchildren, Lacey Moore (Mike Austin), Shaun Moore (Robin) and Tasha Porter (Jacob); eleven great-grandchildren, Braydon Adkins, Hynlee Austin, Hunter Moore, Aubrey Moore, Tanner Porter, Waylen Porter, Levi Porter, Corbyn Adkins, Rylan Adkins, Brendyn Adkins, and Aubree Adkins; a sister-in-law, Emogene Ramey; a brother-in-law, Sam Queen; three nieces, Karen Howerton (Mark), Samantha Noble (Junior) and Toni Lynn; a nephew, Shannon Ramey (Christine); and several great-nieces and great-nephews too numerous to mention. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Huntington Health and Rehab. and to Hospice of Huntington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.
