Thompson – Glenn Peterson, 87, of Thompson passed away on July 31, 2025 in the care of Pierce Memorial Baptist Home. He was the loving husband of his late wife, Sandra Peterson. Born in Woodstock, CT, he was the son of the late Elmer and Lottie Peterson.
He was the owner of Windy Acers Florist which was established in 1966 with his first wife, JoAnne Peterson. His second passion was the home he built in Northern New Hampshire, with the help of many family and friends. Summers were spent gardening and golfing. Winters were spent skiing, snowmobiling and racing Alaskan sled dogs.
Glenn is survived by daughter Kathleen Langer and her husband David of Thompson CT, and step-son Shawn McNally of Colorado. Two granddaughters, Candice Zamagni and her husband Matthew of Woodstock and Emily Langer of Virginia. Step-daughter Nicole McNally and two step-grandsons, Corey and Andrew McNally of Colorado and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Lenora Zamagni of Woodstock. One sister-in-law, Ruth Peterson and daughter-in-law, Naomi Peterson. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Glenn is predeceased by his son Philip Peterson and Grandson Joshua Peterson. Brothers, Wilbur, Gustave, David, Donald, Theodore and Herbert Peterson, as well as sister Sylvia Blount.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date with burial in Quasset Cemetery in Woodstock.
