Glenn R. Brown, 89, of Louisville, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 10, 2025. Born on August 28, 1935, in Canton, Glenn was a 1955 graduate of Canton South High School and a lifelong servant of both his faith and his family.
A devoted member of Bethel Temple Assemblies of God-now known as Cross Pointe Church-Glenn lived his life for the Lord, guided by the quiet but powerful motto passed down from his father: “Do all the good you can and say nothing about it.”
Hardworking and humble, Glenn served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard. He dedicated 37 years as an electrician for American Electric Power, retiring in 1996. Retirement didn’t slow him down-he continued working as the beloved maintenance man at the House of Loreto, always known for his kindness, work ethic, and gentle spirit.
A man of many talents, Glenn was also a skilled carpenter who built and renovated homes for friends and family. He found joy in working outdoors, especially while riding his cherished John Deere mower. An avid sports fan, he rarely missed a game or event involving his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Jean (Greavu) Brown, his parents, Charles W. and Iris (Handy) Brown, and his sisters, Marjorie Walters and Helen Furney.
He is survived by his daughters Tami White and Stephanie Lowden, his grandchildren Preston (Meghan) Lowden, Kylie (Nate) Ray, Jeremy (Kaila) White, Jared (Isabella) White, and Kassidy Lowden; his great-grandchildren Greyson Ray, Blake Ray, and Brodie White-with two more great-grandchildren on the way, a continued blessing to his growing legacy.
Glenn’s life was a quiet testimony to service, humility, and faith-a legacy that lives on in all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at Cross Pointe Church (711 25th St. NW Canton) on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Snodgrass officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. At Glenn’s request, guests are encouraged to wear white to symbolize his new life in Heaven.
