Glenn Bethea

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest brother Glenn Bryan “Ice” Bethea.

Glenn Bethea 69, of Oakland California, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2025.

He was born in Trenton, New Jersey on July 17, 1955. To Jesse James Bethea & Henrietta Bethea

Glenn attended and graduated from the Lawrence Township Public School District. Upon graduation Glenn received a full scholarship from UCLA. He then enlisted into the U.S. Army & on July 1st 1979 he left to be stationed in FT. Dix, & traveled to Philadelphia and St. Louis afterwards. While serving in the U.S Army Glenn was noticed for being a Marksman and a Sharpshooter as he was skilled in firearm ballistics. After serving his country he left New Jersey to start a new life. He arrived in Oakland, California in the early 80s. There he devoted his time and skills as a construction worker who worked for numerous construction companies around the city & also helped rebuild the San Francisco Bay Bridge in 1989.

Naturally Glenn as known as ”Ice” was a protector which later lead him to dedicated himself to the Barrera International Security company as a Security Officer. If you knew Glenn you knew he loved fashion. He took pride in the threads he wore. He was deeply loved & admired by all who he encountered. He will be greatly missed.
