Glenda Casey

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful transition of our beloved Glenda Kay Casey on August 8, 2025, at her home in Granbury, Texas. Born in Santa Anna, TX on September 23, 1943, to S. A. Boardman and Aletha (Bluett) Boardman, Glenda leaves a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. We are grateful for her sweet soul to be resting with Jesus.

Glenda Kay and Thomas celebrated their 60th anniversary earlier this year. These years were spent raising their family and pursuing their custom home building business in the 80s, Casey and Casey Builders. Glenda’s dedication extended to her position as the Vice President of Remax Lake Granbury, and she served on the Board of Directors of the Hood County Builders Association.

Glenda’s creative talent also found a home in her hobbies. She was a gifted seamstress, crafting beautiful pieces for family and friends. Her crafts and projects were extensions of her love, generosity and creativity.

But what mattered most to Glenda was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world, and she loved them endlessly. She leaves behind her loving husband, Thomas Casey, daughters Neta Kaye Penson and Tracy Casey (Johnny Pierson). Grandchildren Taylor Maguire (Sean), Kayelee Watson (Justin), Ty Penson (Nicole), Ali Penson, Dana Shumate (Seth), Amber Pierson and Casey Pierson. Glenda Kay laughed after the first 6 great-grandchildren were boys, saying “Now we have a basketball team”. The boys were followed by two girls to which she added “Now we have the cheerleaders”.

The celebration of Glenda’s life will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Wiley Funeral Home, in Granbury, located at 400 East US Highway 377, Granbury, Texas, 76048.
