With deep sorrow and abiding faith, the family of Gerard Preval, age 75, announces his passing on May 16, 2025, in Nanuet, NY, after a long illness. Gerard went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born on April 27, 1950, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Gerard was the beloved son of the late Roberts Preval and Maricile Calixte.

Gerard is predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Ernst and Jean Robert Preval. Gerard is survived by his brothers, Jean Caril Preval of Middletown, NY, and Eugene Preval of Spring Valley, NY. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Dorothy (Jose), Wenshy, Geraldine, Roody, Kenny (Kristen), Ritchie, and Berangere. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Gerard was known for his tireless work ethic, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to his family—qualities that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, rejoicing in the presence of our Savior.
