Gage Ogburn

Gage Michael Ogburn (Bub), 22, passed to his Heavenly home on October 16, 2025. Gage was born in Granbury, Texas on December 30, 2002 to Ricky Ogburn and Krystal Koehn. He lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg. Gage was a specialist in the Army on the flight crew, repairing Chinook helicopters. He really loved being able to fly and do his job.

Gage graduated Granbury High School in 2021. He enlisted in the army 2 years later. Gage started out as a chinook mechanic and most recently he went on the flight status. He was very eager to transition to a crew chief as part of the flight crew. He completed a tour in Iraq and was looking forward to again serving his country. Gage’s long-term goal was to be accepted to Warrant Officer Flight School and eventually pilot chinook helicopters.

Gage’s passions included photography and riding his motorcycle. He was part of a motorcycle club in Fayetteville.

Gage was generous, loyal and kindhearted. He was the one people counted on – steady, thoughtful and always ready to help. He had a quiet sense of humor and a big heart that drew others to him. He loved motorcycles and time spent with friends and family.

Gage is survived by: mother Krystal Koehn; father Richard (Julia) Ogburn; sister Blythe Ogburn; grandparents Jana Stratman, Paul Stratman, Mike Koehn, Martha Koehn, Betty VanEs, John VanEs; great-grandfather Tommy Brisco. 

Gage was preceded in death by: great-grandmother Bettie Brisco, great-grandfather Randall Koehn, great-grandmother Blanche Koehn, great-grandfather Jodie Ogburn. great-grandmother Peggy Ogburn, great-grandmother Janice Stratman, great-grandfather Art Stratman, cousin Taylor Stratman. 

He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, many friends and fellow soldiers.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl St., Granbury, Texas from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

A service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl St., Granbury, Texas beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Granbury Cemetery.

Gage lived with heart and purpose. His memory will stay with everyone who had the privilege to know him.
