Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Mausoleum – Crowley for Frederick Lee Lawson, 88, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 3:15 p.m. at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Rev. Cullen Clark, Pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate for the services. Following services Mr. Lawson will be inurned in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Mr. Lawson was a graduate of Crowley High and Southwest Louisiana Institute (ULL). He served his country in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Lieutenant. After leaving the Acadiana area, Mr. Lawson was a resident of New Orleans for over fifty years. He was a retired math educator at Ben Franklin High School (Charter and Magnet school) in New Orleans.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his niece, Deborah L. Richard and her husband Greg of Crowley; his nephew, John W. Lawson of Iota; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Thelma Ketchum Lawon; two brothers, John Thomas Lawson and William Eric Lawson; his sister-in-law, Betty Menard Lawson.
