Frank Johnson

Frank A. Johnson, 64, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 10, 1961, in Springfield the son of Ernest and Rose (Short) Johnson. On June 26, 1984, he married Sandy Lash and she survives.

In addition to his wife Sandy, Frank is survived by two sons, Christopher (Stephanie) Johnson and Cody Johnson, both of Springfield; two sisters, Judy Stanley and Janet Johnson both of Springfield, and one brother, Jack Johnson of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Christopher Johnson, Jr; and a brother and sister.

Frank began his career as a radio installer in 1989 with McKeever Communications and continued working with them when they changed to Segno Communications and Wireless USA where he was currently employed.

Frank enjoyed fishing and was an avid lottery player, especially playing the bingo and crossword scratch off tickets. He was known for being a big history buff.

Per Frank’s wishes there will be no services.

Memorial contributions in memory of Frank may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Cancer Society.
